Førjulstid - gjestedesigner i PLIN

For nokre veker sidan fekk eg ein førespurnad om å vera gjestedesigner i Project Life i Norge sin julekalender. Kjekt å få ein dytt til å prioritera litt pl-scrapping igjen😁.

Det er ikkje så veldig vanskeleg å laga pl-sider i desember, ein travel månad med mange kjekke hendingar. Eg valde å scrappa kvelden før og natta til 1. desember. Ein travel kveld for mødrer med små og større barn. Når sluttar ein eigentleg med adventskalender😉?

Eg hengde opp adventskalendrar til dei to ungdommane mine, samt til mor mi som skulle få ei overrasking etter å ha vore to veker på sydlegare breiddegrader. I tillegg har eg min eigen kalender, med gåver frå mor og søstrene i Lillestrøm og Singapore. 

                             

I tillegg laga eg ei side frå førjulsturen eg og dotter mi hadde til Oslo. Kjekt å møta slekta att, handla julegåver og få bada i tante sitt fine badekar - med badebombe:-) 

Case File No. 243: Winter Holiday

The first of every month the CSI challenge comes with a sketch. The colours on case file no. 243 inspires us with wintery colours and a Christmas scene to put us in the right mood:-) 

My take on no. 243

Some years ago we were on winter holiday in the Norwegian mountains. The kids enjoyed both skiing in the daytime, and being in the outdoor hot tub in the afternoon/evening. Beautiful weather made this a holiday to remember.

The evidence I used: glitter, circular elements, silver, winter elements and deer head.

CSI Case File No 241: Pumpkin carving 2016

Autumn colours from CSI challenge no 241 to make autumn pages:-)

These pumpkins are from last year´s pumpkin carving gathering in our house. It has become a tradition to invite the same people over for dinner and creative time every year. It is a delight to see our teenagers enjoy a few hours without their Iphones or computers. 

Evidence I have used: leaves, wood, star, chevron arrows and animals.

CSI Case File 240: Cinderella

There are so many beautiful layouts to inspire you in this case file from CSI.

I have chosen to solve the case by documenting a celebration on stage. The local ballet group performed the love between Cinderella and her prince, and it was magical. 

Evidence used: stars, flowers, texture paste, pearls and stamps

CSI Case File No 239: Summer all year round

The first CSI October challenge is here, and I have made a page about sweet Nora, the summer girl born in Singapore.

My testimony clues are the summer topic and the inspiration words paradise and summer.

Evidence clues are washi tape, thin stripes, flowers and a flamingo.

CSI Case Files 237 & 238

This month is all about school and books:-) 

You have until the end of the month to solve both these case files.

Case file no 238 I have solved by using the following evidence: 

text print, googled eyes, coloured pencils and enamel dots. 

The testimony is to document a favourite book or reading.

Case file 237 is solved by using these pieces of evidence: 

triangles, scissors, cactus and school themed stuff.

CSI Case File No 236: Ship ahoy

Case file no. 236 is all about pirates, skulls and crossbones! Enjoy yourselves making a scary or a cute pirate layout:-) You have until the end of the month to join this fun challenge!

Here is my layout showing the pirate party my son had on his 7th birthday some years ago.

Evidence to solve this case: flags/banner, wet medium, nautical elements, clouds, sun, birds, (palm) trees, wave shape, triangles and skull and crossbone.

CSI Case File No. 235

CSI has another great sketch and challenge running the whole of August. It´s always fun to look for clues to solve these cases. The evidence on my layout this time is solid white background, flowers, eyeglasses, puffy stickers and wet medium. For testimony I chose the topic girlfriends. 

A couple of years ago I went to Barcelona with six friends of mine. Every second year we travel to a new place together. Up till now we have been to Bergen, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Riga, Rome, Warszawa and Barcelona. These girls are always fun to spend some days with:-)

CSI Case File No. 234

This case file suggests to document a summer getaway, and I had plenty of photos from different vacations to choose from. The photo I picked here show the joy of my son on the playground close to a house we rented in Denmark. It was freezing cold outside and very windy the whole time we were there. Still, the kids loved it, and never noticed that we had to buy them warmer clothes.
You can join this challenge up till the 31. of July.

CSI Case File No. 233

Due to the holidays, I´m a bit late posting the last two layouts for CSI, but here they are.

Girly colors on this first one, and I chose some photos of my dad and my daughter picking apples in my parents´garden. They were so special to each other. 

Evidence I used: triangles, watercolors, metal string, puffy sticker, leaves and fruit.

CSI Case File No. 232

Dersom du har bilde frå camping eller turar i skog og mark, vil dei passa perfekt til denne utfordringa hos CSI:-) 

Mi side handlar om bursdagsfeiring ute i ein lavvo. Sjølv om det var midt i februar, koste ungane seg utandørs, og jenta mi ville absolutt pynta seg med skjørt, og det utanpå regnbuksa:-)

Photos from camping and field trips are perfect for this CSI challenge. My page tells the story of birthday celebration outdoors by a lavvu. Even though this was in cold February, the kids enjoyed themselves running around playing and exploring the surroundings. My daughter of course wanted to dress up in a skirt (on top of her rain gear;-)

Bursdagskort

Av og til treng ein eit bursdagskort i ein fei. Vanlegvis lagar eg berre eitt om gongen, men for eit par veker sidan hadde eg plutseleg bruk for tre. Dei vart ganske like, men det er ok då bursdags"barna" bur i tre ulike land;-)
Folkevognbussen er av merket Sizzix, og kjem frå Livs synytt på Stord. Dei ferdigbretta korta med konvolutt i craft kjem også frå denne butikken. Kjempekjekke å ha på lur:-)

CSI Case File No. 231: Superman

Sprelske fargar i denne månadens utfordring frå CSI:-) 

 

I solved this month´s major case by using the following evidence:

white background, stripes, animal, eyeglasses, googly eyes, speech bubbles and stars

The testimony chosen is "journal in a speech bubble" and inspiration word "super".

Visiting Hollywood quite a few years ago, we met lots of familiar characters by "the walk of fame". My son, five at the time, recognized some of them, but were quite reluctant to posing with "Superman", as he was certain this was not the right one:-D.

This page is about the many times our daughter woke up in the evening smelling her dad´s late night cooking. She used to get up, tip-toeing into the living room nicely asking for a bite. She never got a no from my husband. He loved sharing his food with her. Even after bedtime.

Unfortunately because of allergy we can not have a furry pet. But every time we visit my sister, my daughter grabs the opportunity to cuddle the house cat Luna.

Some years ago we went to visit the Norwegian royal castle. My three year old was sure she would meet the royal family, and as we were approaching the entrance, she said anxiously: "I want to stand behind you when she comes out." I asked her who she meant, and she answered: "The queen." She was so sweet and serious, and I had to break it gently to her that maybe the queen was busy today and  not able to meet us.

Den 1. i kvar månad er det flott skisseutfordring hos CSI. 

Eg held på med siste innspurt i å få ferdig dottera vår sine album, og berre måtte ha med denne historia. Litt makaber, men eg vel å sjå humoren i den;-)

The first of each month CSI has a great challenge including a sketch.

I am trying to finish my daughter´s photo albums before her confirmation in May, and just had to include this story: 

When my daughter was little, I warned her about the detergents in the kitchen cupboard. One day she answered the door, I heard her say on top of her voice: I know how we can become angels! Come and see! We just drink this!! 

No need to say those bottles were soon locked away in a safe place!

Project Life February

Hiv meg med i siste liten på februarutfordringa i Project Life i Norge. Denne gongen vart eg inspirert av både tekst, naturbiletet og fargane. Mi side handlar om ein ettermiddag me tok med alle fotoapparata våre på hausttur. Mange flotte fargar ute, så det var ikkje vanskeleg å finna gode motiv. Ei kjekk stund for heile familien:-)

I am joining the February challenge in Project Life Norway. Inspired by the colours, the text and the nature, I made a page about a photoshoot with my family an autumn afternoon a couple of years ago. CSI Case File No. 224: Villsauposen

Loved the colors on this case file from CSI:-)

My page tells the story of a baby sleeping bag made of sheepskin from Norwegian wild sheep. It´s really warm og and cosy, and was given to my first child in year 2000 by my parents. Later it was handed down to my second child, then my three nephews and last year my niece. A very useful gift to our children from their grandparents.

Some years ago we went to Madam Tussaud, and suddenly I discovered that my husband had bought marshmallow sticks with chocolate on top for the kids. Oh my! The sticky mess! Why on earth would they sell something like that in a wax museum?!

It all went well, though, and the kids reeeeaaallly enjoyed it;-)

A wintery scene from the ice rink some years ago. We skate so seldom it´s like learning it all over again each time we go. Usually the rink on our island is prepared for the Christmas holidays, and unless it´s raining, we go at least once. We tear the kids (and adults) away from the screens, and although there are protests in the beginning, they (we) are very happy on the ice. Last year we practiced skating backwards, and even remembered how to do it this year. Great fun:-)
